The College Kid
The minute I finished freshmen year at the University of Miami, I had one goal in mind.
Get a kitchen.
Yeah, food isn't an easy journey when it comes to attending college. I've had those times where getting fast food several days in a row is the only possibility. But I also know how important cooking has been in my college life, in staying healthy, happy, and honestly, as a tool to connect with people. Cooking doesn't have to be a chore, and that's what I hope to make this about. Fast, budget friendly tips and tricks can make a world of difference in your college (or life) experience.
My name is Alex, and I'm studying biology and climate science at the U. Ever since I completely ruined my mom's pan by horribly burning bacon, she has given me some skills on how to make the college basics, mostly involving pasta and scrambled eggs. Thus, my love for figuring out how to make basic, easy food into enjoyable meals began. While I may have mitochondria and the nucleus running through my head, I will still be thinking about making my next meal, and I'm glad to share this with you.
